Direct (SIP / WebRTC) transport carries near-zero marginal cost, so the free
tier is generous and hard-stops at quota with no surprise bill. PSTN is a
paid-tier capability, metered per minute.
What these numbers are, checked 2026-10-10: the prices and limits are the plan
definitions our billing API serves. The Starter column is what a new account
gets. No one has paid for Pro or Enterprise yet, so their scheduling, monitoring,
phone-network calls and overage invoices have not been run for a customer. The
per-account limits on concurrent calls and API keys are enforced in code from
2026-10-10 and not yet verified on production.
