The verdict
- You need synthetic callers dialing your own agent today: Word Is Bond is not ready for that yet. Hamming, Coval, Cekura and Bluejay all describe simulated callers against your agent and production monitoring.
- Your agent is built on Vapi or Retell: start with the tests built into your platform. Vapi documents Evals and Simulations; Retell documents simulation tests and batch tests that run in text without placing a call.
- You assure an IVR or a contact center: Cyara and Bespoken both describe IVR testing, load testing and monitoring. Word Is Bond's contact-center page says plainly what it can and cannot do for you: IVR & contact-center assurance.
- You want to score conversations you already have, with a judge you can check first, for free: Word Is Bond scores a transcript you send and returns a four-layer scorecard, and its production judge can be tried on the home page with no account.

Tool by tool
Word Is Bond
- Scores a transcript you send and returns a completed run with a four-layer scorecard: infrastructure, execution, reaction, outcome.
- Runs a live synthetic caller against the shared sandbox agent, with a share link for each report and a weekly schedule on the free tier.
- An API key runs the sandbox scenario from CI, and the exit status fails the build.
- Word Is Bond is not currently SOC 2 certified.
- Not ready yet: test calls to your own agent over SIP or the phone network, platform connections, touch-tone menus, and load testing at volume.
Hamming
- Describes itself as a trust platform for voice and chat agents.
- Connects by dialing a SIP number, or directly over LiveKit or Pipecat; imports agents from Vapi, Retell and ElevenLabs.
- Names DTMF and IVR trees among the conditions it tests, and states 50K+ concurrent calls.
- States CI/CD wiring so a failing build does not ship, and real-time monitoring of live traffic.
- States SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA with a BAA available. Pricing page: contact sales for every plan.
Coval
- Describes a testing, evals and QA loop for voice agents, before launch and in production.
- Simulates many realistic callers; names LiveKit and Pipecat; links an API reference and a CLI.
- Runs production evals on live conversations.
- Shows SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA badges.
- Pricing page: Starter $100 a month (100 simulation minutes), Growth $500 a month, Enterprise from $4,500 a month; 7-day trial with a credit card.
Cekura
- Describes itself as a reliability layer for voice agents: test, monitor, improve.
- Runs thousands of synthetic conversations before go-live and states drift detection across every live call.
- Says you can gate every deploy on the suite; lists Vapi, Retell, LiveKit, Pipecat and ElevenLabs among partners.
- States HIPAA, SOC 2 and GDPR.
- Pricing page: pay as you go at $0.25 per voice testing minute and $0.05 per monitored call, no card required; Startup plan $500 a month.
Bluejay
- Describes itself as a QA platform for agents, running simulated callers across voice, chat and text.
- States load testing at scale, replaying production calls, and testing and monitoring in production.
- Offers a free start; integrations, CI and compliance are not stated on the home page.
Vapi's built-in testing
- Evals check one decision at a fixed point of a text mock conversation, by exact match, a pattern, or a model judge.
- Simulations have a simulated caller hold a whole conversation; chat mode skips speech, voice mode exercises speech, transcription and turn-taking.
- Simulations can be created and run through the API.
- Vapi's own docs say synthetic callers do not fully represent real callers, and suggest manual calls for noise, accents and interruptions.
Retell's built-in testing
- Simulation tests run a saved scenario in text, without placing a call, and grade pass or fail with a written reason.
- Test cases and batch runs are available over the API; agents on a custom model are not supported.
- Testing bills at production rates: text tests per message, web and phone test calls per minute.
Cyara
- Positions itself for customer-experience assurance: end-to-end voice quality and IVR testing across 145+ countries.
- States goal-based test generation for conversational agents, load and peak testing, and continuous synthetic interactions against live agents.
- Pricing, CI and compliance are not stated on the home page.
Bespoken
- Automated testing and monitoring for conversational systems; crawls and maps every path in an IVR or chatbot.
- States load testing with thousands of simultaneous users, 24/7 uptime monitoring with alerts, and GitHub, Jenkins and CircleCI integration.
- States SOC 2 Type II and ISO compliant infrastructure; 2-week free trial, no credit card.
